!Dakotaverse Ficathon, the second

Welcome to the second and not-so-annual Dakotaverse Ficathon. This exercise in futility is a chance for those familiar with the Dakotaverse characters to show off their knowledge of the Dakotaverse and its characters. If you're new to this game and only know of Static/Virgil, Rocket/Raquel, Richie Foley and Frieda Goren, then don't be be scared, feel free to participate anyway.

Important Dates:
Sign-ups: November 16TH to November 30TH (That’s fourteen days, not counting from the 16th)
Prompting: November 30th to December 13TH (CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT PROMPT)
Last day to drop out: November 20TH
Fics are due: December 24TH
Posting begins: December 24TH


Rules: (ganked from: leeadama_daily)
+ Stories should be at least 750 words and inspired by one of the prompts (in a separate post next week). Feel free to create your own prompt if you already have a fic in mind.
+ This ficathon is open to all Dakotaverse-centric genfic and/or any ships.
+ Stories can be any rating allowed in the community, specified at the time of posting.
+ Stories can be canon, AU or crossover. Whatever you prefer.
+ Posting will commence on the dates the fics are due. You do not need to send these fics to me, just post them as you would any other story on a community. Posting is moderated so as to filter out stories that do not adhere to the community rules.
+ Using a beta is advised.
+ Fics can be from any POV and contain any characters as long as they are focused on character from the Dakotaverse.
+ A collection of short vignettes/drabbles are acceptable as long as the minimum word count is achieved (750 words).

SIGN UP SHEET: - When you fill in the sign up sheet, post it here in this thread. You don't need to send me the sign up sheet through PM or E-Mail. Where most mods would have you e-mail your stories to them to post them, I'm trusting you do that. My only request is that if you end up posting the entry at your journal, could you please create a duplicate entry for the community? It's not a requirement, but it would be great or archival purposes.

General Prompt Guidelines: (ganked from: leeadama_daily)

• All types of prompts are welcome: one word, complete fic ideas, phrases, loose scenarios, photos, screencaps, songs, lyrics, vids, poems, etc.
• Prompts can be canon-related, crossover or AU.
• Be sure to specify pairings or other characters if that is important to your prompt.
• Comment as many times as you like with as many prompts as you want to. There is no limit, and you never know, that very last prompt you decide to leave could inspire the next great Lee fic.
• You may include multiple prompts in one comment, but please put each prompt on its own line in your comment.

It happens, some things cannot be stopped, even for a ficathon. If you intend on dropping out of the ficathon, please leave a post here (with a reason if you feel comfortable enough with giving one out) to let us know.

If you need an extension, please leave a post here and let us know. Comments are screened, but if you don't want to comment, private message me if you've a problem connected to the delay of your fic's progression that you don't want to air out to the public.
