SHADOW CABINET
Sure, Static Shock died an unfortunately quick death, but this later Milestone series -- essentially the imprint's Avengers, except more morally ambiguous and more entertaining to read in the 1990s -- not only deserves more attention but would fit in surprisingly well with The New 52.
Mysterious organization led by shady figure whose aims aren't always entirely clear? Check -- but with the important distinction that this team are the good guys, and unlike Stormwatch, they're not too self-conscious about whether or not they're considered superheroes or not. Plus, comics needs the return of the snarky, upbeat Donner and Blitzen, to counterbalance the self-importance of Apollo and Midnighter. [SOURCE]
